Texas immigration legislation is implemented by the US Supreme Court in spite of a federal lawsuit.
The US Supreme Court has immediately asked Texas to drop off a hat and bring tendentious immigration law which has become a heated topic for debate in the state. The law has to be brought into action as there is a sudden increase in migrants at the South border and there are a number of questions arising about the nation’s immigration policies.
Let’s try to know what the Law says :
Texas Senate Bill 4 (SB4), which Governor Greg Abbott signed into law in December. The law allows local and state authorities to arrest and punish anybody who is suspected of crossing the US-Mexico border unlawfully. SB4 stipulates that entering Texas without the required paperwork may result in felony or misdemeanour charges, which may carry jail time or significant penalties.
State judges have given the authority to local enforcement to find anyone varying on the circumstances in Mexico. The Supreme Court decision for SB4 to be enforced has sparked a fierce legal dispute.
