“Nuclear war ,A big question in front of U.S. to think about”
On Wednesday, President Vladimir Putin informed the Western world that Russia was prepared for nuclear war and that the deployment of American troops in Ukraine would be a major intensification of hostilities.
Speaking ahead of an election that is sure to give him another six years in office, Putin stated that he did not see the need for the use of nuclear weapons in Ukraine and that the possibility of a nuclear war was not “rushing” forward.
Russia has declined an official invitation to participate in a peaceful conference being held in Switzerland. According to Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova, two of the reasons for this are that the summit will cover Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s 10-point peace plan, which Russia is not prepared to discuss, and that Switzerland has lost its neutral status, making it unsuitable as a platform for peacekeeping efforts. Zakharova also criticized the West’s inability to effectively mediate peace in the past, citing the failed Minsk agreements. While Russia is open to talks in theory, Zakharova stated that they would only participate if their interests are taken into consideration and military matters are addressed.
